The Problem with Dieting

It doesn’t work! When you first start a diet you feel excited and motivated. Your weight loss goal is clear and you are determined!

You stick to your plan for the first few weeks, and you begin to lose some weight! This time, your weight loss will be permanent, and you will reach your goal quickly.

But, as time goes on, you feel deprived, very restricted, or even trapped by your diet. You don't feel as motivated as you were before. You try to relieve the tension by cheating a little. Then somewhere along the line you find that you’re not really on the diet any longer and you feel angry, guilty, and defeated.

The problem with most weight-loss centers and dieting franchises, is not that their programs don't work, but rather that most people are unconsciously programmed to eat in an unhealthy way!

What is hypnotic advertising?

Back in the 1950’s some very savvy beverage executives began studying hypnosis under a man named Melvin Powers. Melvin was a master hypnotist and the intent was to learn to apply hypnosis to advertising. As Melvin put it, “Their success was rapid and phenomenal.”

Today we experience hypnotic advertising all the time. TV, Radio, and Print advertisers all use hypnotic techniques to make us want to purchase their products or services. We are inundated with hypnotic advertising all the time and it has had a dramatic effect on our lives. Over 60% of the US population is overweight and it’s getting worse!

Commercial food manufactures have even taken it one step farther. We are now consuming hypnotic foods. I know it sounds crazy but let me explain.

What are hypnotic foods?

Our minds work on two levels. We think, act, and make decisions with our conscious mind. However our unconscious mind controls our cravings and desires for specific foods. It is also true that our unconscious minds learn from what we experience. So, what the food industry has done is to design foods that make us feel good immediately when we begin to eat them. The fact that they are unhealthy and make us feel bad later is of no consequence. If we feel good when we first eat a food our unconscious mind will “assume” that the food is good for us. After all, it makes us feel good when we eat it. Later when we feel bad because the food was lacking in healthy nutritional value, our unconscious desire is to eat it again because it makes us feel good instantly when we do. Our unconscious minds are being tricked into making us fat!

High salt, or MSG and sugar, or high fructose corn syrup, are the key ingredients used to program foods in this way. The answer is to use hypnosis as it should be used, to remove this commercial programming and build immunity to future programming.

You are not heavy because you did anything wrong. You are being manipulated and now you can do something about it!

A Little Bit About Hypnosis

Hypnosis is as old as mankind and it’s not at all like what you see in the movies. It’s completely safe and it’s used every day in fields such as sports, medicine, dentistry, education, and law enforcement.

I first began learning about hypnosis when I was about eight years old. My mentor was a very kind and gentle man named Eric Allen. Eric was also working with my brother Larry and I must admit there was a little jealousy between my brother and I.

Eric had a bad habit of calling me Larry and anytime he made that mistake while I was in a state of hypnosis I would immediately awaken and give him a dirty look. It didn’t matter how deep in trance I was, I would always awaken instantly... When you are hypnotized you always have complete control.

Hypnosis is just like daydreaming except that your therapist is guiding you. Your imagination is gently guided in a way that will allow you to make changes in how you feel about and experience thing such as your relationship with certain foods.

By totally immersing yourself in the daydream like experience you will find that it is really enjoyable, relaxing, and makes dramatic changes in your feelings, cravings, and desires.

“Let it be known that most of my adult life I have had an ongoing fight with being overweight.

It started with just a few pounds and over the years (nearly 35) went up to over 150 pounds of overweight. As I got older the health issues developed, caused by overweight as much as anything.

Medical Doctors only made matters worse with drugs (nasty side affects) and a poor understanding of proper nutrition. Following the Doc’s orders and using his drugs gained me 60 pounds in 60 days. This was the final straw! I took matters into my own hands!!
